How to Win Friends - Tip of the Day

Do you know there is really only one way to get people to do what you want them to? Yes, just one way and that is by making the other person want to do it by getting them to think it is their idea to do it in the first place...wow, what a concept! It makes them feel important when they think it is their own idea and you allow them to take the glory, by being quiet.

Dr Sigmund Freud said that everything we do comes from only 2 motives - the sex urge and the desire to be great (important).

ALL men and women alike desire to be important! Did you get that? They ALL desire to be important ! Don't you desire to be important, feel important? I know I sure do and that has been part of my problem because although I may be there for people I still want to feel important.

Housewives want to feel important by their husbands and social crowds; children want to feel important in class or amongst their friends; men especially want to feel important in business, sex, family and their friends.

William James said a long time ago: "The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated."

I don't know of one person who doesn't like to be appreciated, we all need to know we are appreciated from time to time, yet there are so many of you out there that feel worthless and not appreciated...I appreciate YOU!

Have a Wonderful Day!

How to Jump Start Your Mind!

Personally I struggle with this a lot, therefore my writing on it in hopes to encourage not only myself but others along the way. Should have started a journal long ago and I did but as always never finished what I had started. Besides, with my life experiences, I would have had to make about 3-6 different journals about the different times and situations. This is a great way to jump start your mind to do the things you love and make money while doing them.

Sometimes we need extra help, encouragement, tools of the trade to keep us going so if you would like to check some out you may proceed to the bottom of my hub and check out a few that I have selected and know of to be very successful. Otherwise, there is a LOT of great info on many hubpages and other resources via the Internet. Please don't hesitate to contact me about a specific item/product/area as I may have something on it that I can give to you. We all need a little break on costs when times are tight.

My favorite book right now that has jump started my mind this week is How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, and yes, it is the 1930s one and it is just amazing! The stories are so compelling and encouraging to read, the layout of the book, the suggestions anyone can easily follow and I highly recommend it to those procrastinators because I myself am the worst one of all!

Let us all be quiet and allow others to speak, to share, to be lifted in spirit and self, without arguing whether we agree or not, lift up another person above yourself and you will have made their day and possibly their family's day by sending that person home in a great mood with a wonderful attitude that will bless them and their family!

Give it a try but here is a forewarning to anyone that does read the book or grasp the ideas behind it and start to use them in their own lives...IT WILL MAKE YOU CHAOTIC...then the change will come and you will settle down with more inner peace than you had before. Hang in there YOU CAN do it!

Blessings to ALL!

Discussing Spiritual Growth

What have you learned lately in your Spiritual growth?

Whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or just plain Spiritual I would love to hear from you!
PLEASE, I just would like you to share your experiences or an experience without regard to race, religion or creed, just Spiritual, so please no bashing others on here. Just comment on your own personal growth and allow the others the same respect.

Ok so I will just put a tad about my own spiritual journey but this is just barely scraping the iceberg, more of an outline of my journey to be filled in as I am able to.
  1. Grew up non religious but always knew I didn't come from apes, that I was created.
  2. Introduced to the Baptist church and it literally scared the Hell into or outta me so I asked Jesus into my heart so that I would not eternally burn
  3. Parents become Christians, we move, we become Pentecostals "Holy Rollers" and I start Christian school
  4. Much later realized I wasn't Christian for all the right reasons and felt that I was missing something
  5. My journey began, my parents and kids hated it as it was very confusing to them...and myself!
  6. Went through various religions and grab onto them full force, big mistake
  7. Decided I needed to dig further I get all wrapped up in a little bit of everything
  8. Then realized there is a thing called History so decided to view the facts
  9. Compare Historical/Biblical/Many other Ancient Texts - mind boggling but very interesting!
I'm still on my journey and will continue on this journey until I pass on =)

May you also be inspired to make the journey!
